Based on an early 18th century French document, Chinoise Exotique is a grand design depicting Chinese figures hunting exotic Indian animals. This pattern is a classic example of the kinds of chinoiserie patterns developed for export to the European market in the early 1700s. These designs became so popular that France passed a law banning them from sale out of fear that they would collapse the French textile market. Sticks to any smooth, flat surface will not leave sticky residue. This product should NOT be applied to textured walls - smooth clean, dry, painted surface only (no Non-Stick paint or soap residue). Sold by the roll; comes on a 20.87-in x 18-ft roll and covers about 31.3 sq. ft.
